Web Design
Air Force District of Washington Worldwide Mission Website

Role: Lead Web Developer & Designer
Skills Used: Web Development (HTML/CSS), Content Management (AFPIMS), Information Architecture, UX Design, Strategic Communication
Challenge
Airmen assigned to non-traditional units, such as NSA, NATO, and other DoD agencies, often remain unaware that the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) serves as their administrative “home,” providing essential support services. Without clear guidance, many Airmen struggled to access resources, creating a gap in communication and support.
Approach
To address this, I developed a comprehensive resource website using the American Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS), the DoD’s secure content management system. Leveraging HTML and CSS for customization, I designed an intuitive, well-structured platform that organizes over 240 services provided by AFDW directorates. The site categorizes resources into five key areas—Combatant Commands/DoD Agencies, Air Force Direct Reporting Units, Field Operating Agencies, U.S. Space Force, and Air National Guard/Reserve Commands— ensuring that Airmen can quickly find relevant support services and contact information.
Impact
The website now serves as a centralized hub, ensuring that Airmen assigned outside of traditional Air Force structures can easily identify who supports them and how to access resources. By categorizing services and streamlining content layout with HTML/CSS customization, users can quickly find relevant information based on their unit affiliation. The platform also strengthens AFDW’s ability to communicate its mission and role while bridging the awareness gap for Airmen who previously lacked clarity on their administrative support. This project not only provided a user-friendly solution to a critical communication gap but also reinforced the role of AFDW as a key support entity for Airmen worldwide. The website continues to serve as a vital resource, ensuring Airmen have the information and support they need—regardless of where they are assigned.

Air Force Memorial Website Redesign
Role: Lead Web Developer & Designer
Skills Used: Web Development (HTML/CSS), Content Management (AFPIMS), Information Architecture, UX Design, Strategic Communication

Challenge
The Air Force Memorial website serves as a primary source of information for visitors seeking details about its history, hours of operation, and events. However, the existing site lacked a modern, user-friendly design, making navigation difficult and reducing engagement. A redesign was needed to improve accessibility, enhance the visitor experience, and present the Memorial’s significance in a more professional and visually compelling way.
Approach
I redesigned the website using the American Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS), ensuring compliance with DoD security and accessibility standards. Utilizing HTML and CSS, I created a clean, structured layout that enhances usability and visual appeal. The redesign prioritizes easy navigation, with clearly defined sections for hours of operation, historical background, and upcoming events, allowing visitors to quickly access essential information.
Impact
The new website provides a professional, intuitive experience for visitors, making it easier to engage with the legacy and events of the Air Force Memorial. By improving navigation and design consistency, the project enhances the Memorial’s digital presence, ensuring that service members, veterans, and the public can effortlessly find the information they need.
